The Giant Sequoia tree is one of the fastest growing trees in the world, growing up to 1 to 2 feet per year and can reach up to 100 metres. It can have a basel diameter of 35 feet and bark up to 4ft thick - making it the largest tree on Earth.

The Sequoia (also known as the Sierra Redwood) is native to the Redwood forests of California. It occurs in scattered groves across a limited area of the western Sierra Nevada. It is believed that the Giant Sequoias were named after the famous American Indian Sequoyah.

Sequoia bark is fibrous and furrowed. The leaves are evergreen, awl-shaped, 3-6 mm long, and arranged spirally on the shoots

Although the Sequoia is naturally a very large tree, with appropriate pruning they make perfect bonsai or deck plants.

All of our saplings are ethically sourced from sustainable forests or nurseries. The transparent plastic protective tubes and packaging are all 100% recyclable. One of our trees makes the perfect eco-friendly gift for friends or family.
